Relaxing time, Santori time

Hey. Guess what? I don't have to cook* this year! I'm going to a friends and the burden is on them. Woo-hoo!

Only I'm so sad that I'm not brining a turkey right now.

I am also sad that I don't get to chop up onions and celery and mix them up with bread crumbs and stuff them in a turkey's crack.

I don't get to use my table leaf.

I don't get to light the living room fire.

I don't get to spoon in gobs of horseradish into my mashed potatoes.

That's okay, though. This year will be awesome.

I get to gab and drink wine ?all day? with Stacey (why yes, that is unusual) .

I get to meet at least one new person.

If we run out of oven space I get to run home and toss stuff in my oven. Loving friends living on the same street.

I get to play with a doggy.

I get to taunt a kitty.

I get to try new food!

I get to play games and eat tons of pie!

And the best thing, something I haven't had in a long while, I get to have a real mom at my Thanksgiving! (Hi Wyatt's mom! Thanks for coming and being my Thanksgiving mom this year!)

*I'm going to cook a little. I bought a cute little Brussels sprout stalk last night and I'm going to chop the sprouts up and roast them with bacon and shallots. Zoe is making the sweet potatoes. Sid is making a blue cheese spread and endive appetizer. Robert will have to provide some form of entertainment...
